Nania and Sapp Finish 11th out of 203 Teams in Alabama Bass Trail North #1: Post 16.3 Pounds in a Mixed Bag Anchored by Sapp’s 7 pound Largemouth

Decatur, Alabama; Wheeler Lake; February 25, 2017 – Joey Nania and Russ Sapp have teamed together for this year’s Alabama Bass Trail Northern Series and it looks like a good match!  The team finished 11th on Saturday in a full field of over 200 teams. The one day event was met with high winds and tough fishing conditions, however the team was encouraged when the first fish of the day was Sapp’s 7 pounder.  “It was great to get the ‘kicker’ out of the way first!” Exclaimed Sapp.  Nania commented, “We only had 3 fish with about 2 hours to go so we had to dig in and get it done to bring in a limit.  We did that! We caught all of our fish on a Z-man Chatterbait. I anchored that with a TFO Rod, Quantum Reel and Vicious fluorocarbon line.”(www.zmanfishing.com; www.tforods.com ; www.getvicious.com; http://shop.zebcobrands.com/quantum)

The tournament was won with an impressive bag of 30.59 pounds posted by Mitch Mitchell and Chandler McCollum besting the nearest competitor by 10 pounds.
