On the Tournament Trail Again with Great Opportunities!

Texas and Louisiana are my home for the next 30 days.  I will travel to pre-fish for two of the biggest tournaments of my career.  First Lake Texoma on the Texas Oklahoma boarder for the third in a three tournament series of the Bass Pro Shops BASS Central Opens.  I am currently ranked 40th out of over 200 anglers.  The Opens are one of the best roads to achieve the Elite level.  They take the top 7 anglers and invite them to the big leagues each year.  Needless to say, I am going to have to have a great finish on Texoma and have some other great anglers slip up to get the invitation.  The top prize for this event is $50,000, so even if I don't make the Elites, winning would be a big financial shot in the arm!

After Texas I go back to the Red River in Louisiana to compete in the Federation Nation National Championships.  50 of the best state anglers in the world will compete in their various divisions for a berth in the Bassmaster Classic.  Additionally, the overall winner of this event is invited to compete in the Elite series in 2011.  I will be fishing head to head against some great anglers from the West to try to win the Western Division and become the youngest angler ever to compete in the Superbowl of Bass fishing, the Bassmaster Classic.

Regardless of the outcome I am happy and thankful to have had a great season and to be in a position to have such great opportunities.
