Tough Day Two on Norman for Joey Nania Ends Bassmaster Open Tournament in 47th out of 148

Lake Norman, NC – After ending day one in 12th place in the pro standings on LakeNorman, Joey Nania felt good about his chances of duplicating what had been successful during practice and the first tournament day.  Unfortunately, as fish sometimes do, they had other ideas as Joey managed three 14 plus inch keepers two shy of the limit that would have put him in the top 12.  “It was a really slow bite today for most of the day,”  Joey commented. “I was surprised because I am getting pretty familiar with Norman, but that can happen. When you see it happen to guys like Gerald Swindle and Roland Martin too, it makes it a little easier to swallow.  But I know that one of these days my experience on Norman is going to pay off.”

Next up:  Sylacauga Marine Big Bucks Buddy Circuit Championship – Lake to be determined by angler vote.  Joey and partner Warren Hoffman face off with some of Northern and Central Alabama’s best angling teams as they attempt to win and qualify for the Bassmaster Team Championship.
