Joey Nania Finishes 43rd in 180 Angler Field Patrick Bone Takes Lead with 43-2 Two Day Total

Douglas Lake Fools Many - Rewards Many

Dandridge, TN – Douglas Lake, April 5, 2013;  The weather on Douglas Lake took a turn for the better and the fishing took a turn in the opposite direction as many day one top contenders found their bite reversed for the worse while others found their bite reversed for the better.  Day two saw Patrick Bone jump to the top with another impressive 20 plus pound bag while others in the top twelve came up nearly empty.

Unfortunately Joey’s day became a casualty as he was only able to find one willing 3 pounder on day two dropping him from 12th to a 43rd place finish at the Bassmaster Southern Open #2.  Joey commented, “I had a lot of fish located and saw fish but they kept short hitting my Alabama rig which was really frustrating.  The fish were there.  I had a second 4 pounder at the end of the day but it turned out to be an 18 inch small mouth which is 2 inches short of the legal size for smallies.  I guess Douglas Lake fooled me today.  Time to live and keep learning.”

Joey’s finish put him in the top 24% of the 180 angler field on what for him was another new lake and another valuable tournament experience.
