Joey Nania Churns through the Keepers to Post 48th Place Finish in 183 Angler Field Bassmaster Southern Open Lake Norman, NC

Another New Lake – Lots of Lake Information Remembered

Tracy Adams Wins; Elite Pro Bradley Roy Takes Second

Cornelius, NC; April 6th, 2012; Pro Bass Angler Joey Nania had some great days on the water last week learning the ins and outs of Lake Norman.  “There are a ton of fish in this lake the trick is to keep your average pounds per fish up there in the 2 ˝ pound range.  I was culling for ounces each day.”  Joey added, “This was a great tournament and I continue to enjoy and learn as the Open Series hits waters that are all new to me.  I was happy to have limits both days and will remember what I learned over the last week not only about Lake Norman but about what these cold fronts (that seem to present themselves in just about every tournament) do to the fish.”

Tracy Adams, an experience Norman angler, proved that he is king of Lake Norman dominating the competition.  Elite angler Bradley Roy had a very strong second place finish.  Joey fished against Bradley as a Junior at the Jr. Bassmaster World Championships in 2005. That year Joey won his first Junior World Championship the year after Bradley won his Junior World Title.  Joey on that: “It is pretty cool that we are both fishing as adults now and that Bradley is an Elite Angler.  Sticking with things and continuing to learn is what it is all about.”
