Joey's Singing Debut on Table Rock at PAA #2 - Singing the National Anthem is an Honor!

In Joey's own words, "Well I have always loved to sing but have only done it in front of my family and some close friends. We asked the tournament organizer and director if I could do the national anthem at the Table Rock event.  They asked me if I had a demo video, so I made one and sent it to them.  I guess they liked it because I performed the national anthem at the day one and two launch sites for the PAA #2 event."

Joey continues, "Honestly, I don't get nervous for almost anything but the first morning this was the most nerve racking experience of my life!  I calmed myself down and got through it.  I had a lot of positive comments from the fishing fans and some of the other pros. One lady said that I gave her goose bumps and Dave Mansue, PAA President told me it was "Great! You got the job!" Shaw Grigsby said, "Nice job on that anthem." It was really a positive experience and I am glad people enjoyed it.

Day two was much more comfortable and I hope to do it again at the season finale on Neely Henry Lake.  It feels great to be able to honor our country and our veterans with a singing tribute in the form of the national anthem. Fishing with the wounded warriors in charity events has given me a deeper appreciation for the sacrifices that these people make to preserve and defend our freedom."
