PAA #2: Table Rock Lake - 39th Place Finish - Still in the Hunt!

Branson, MO, Table Rock Lake - Table Rock is a challenging fishery and there is a lot to learn.  Stacy King won the event and is perhaps one of the best known Table Rock experts. Joey commented, "I had hoped for a better finish than 39th place.  I put in a lot of effort and had an ok outcome. But every event is a learning experience and goes into the memory banks for the future."

Joey weighed in a five fish limit just shy of 10 pounds on day one.  Day two fell a little short with 3 fish for just under 5 1/2 pounds.  That total put Joey in 39th place for the tournament and generated enough points to keep Joey in the hunt for the top 15. Sitting now ranked 30th overall after two events Joey will need a strong finish on Neely Henry in the final event of the three tournament PAA series to qualify for the Toyota Texas Bass Classic.

"To qualify for that event would be a real thrill.  I fished as a pro there during the pro-am day last year with a couple of gentlemen from the Texas State Fish and Game.  We had a blast and it was great to be fishing among the top anglers in the world.  I would really like to compete as a Professional Anglers Association qualified professional in that event this year."
