First PAA Event - Lake Lanier; 25th out of 75 - and a Check!

Buford, GA - Joey Nania had a nightmare of a day today on day two of his first PAA Series event - seeing at least 20 pounds of fish but landing only two for a little over 6 pounds on Lake Lanier.  Joey was in 14th place after day one with over 12 pounds. Today he chased around 3 and 4 pounders getting just two keepers to bite.  The third fish was 1/8 inch short of 14 inches and would have put him in the top 20 for the cut.
As it was 25th place in the loaded field of 75 was relatively satisfying for a first visit to Lake Lanier.  Today was his fifth day on that body of water.  Joey's check will help a ton with tournament expenses!
Attached photo is Joey prior to weigh in on day one with a beautiful 5.27 pound spot - a personal record.  More photos of Joey on the PAA website days one and two. The event has been great. Very smooth, very well run and good for all the anglers.
Tomorrow Joey has volunteered to fish the Pro Am - Fins and Skins tournament with ex pro athletes/coaches on Lake Lanier.  Weigh in will be at Bass Pro Shops in Lawrenceville, GA prior to the final top 20 weigh in for the PAA tournament.
